Kebbi Deputy Governor Harps On Peaceful Co-existence, Tolerance during Easter
Deputy Governor of Kebbi State, Sama’ila Yombe has urged Nigerians most especially the Christians in Kebbi State to live peacefully, show compassion, hope, and tolerance among themselves as well as towards fellow citizens as they celebrate Easter.
The Deputy Governor added that Easter is one of the most significant events in the Christian schedules as it commemorates Jesus’s sacrificial death, resurrection and the foundation upon which Christian faith stands for.
Yombe Dabai however insisted that despite ethnic, religious and political ideological differences among Nigerians, there must be the need to tolerate one another devoid of such differences.
He admonishes clerics to focus preaching on civic obligations, religious tolerance, freedom, endurance, neighborly compassion among others while wishing a successful and hitch free Easter celebrations.
