NDE begins disbursement of funds to 500 beneficiaries in Zuru
On Wednesday, November 11th, the Director General of National Directorate of Employment (NDE) Dr Nasir Muhammad Ladan Argungu flagged off the disbursement of Micro Enterprises Enhancement loans to Women and Youths in Zuru local government held at Komo Unity hall.
The DG who was ably represented by the Kebbi State coordinator of National Directorate of Employment (NDE) Mal Adamu Machika commended his excellency rtd Col Samaila Yombe Dabai mni (Tambarin Zuru), the Deputy Governor of Kebbi State, HRH Maj Gen (Dr) Muhammadu Sani Sami, the Emir of Zuru for support and cooperation.
He further commended the Director General for his tireless efforts in alleviation of poverty across the federation under his watch and sought for prayers for the DG to succeed.
Machika added that NDE established for over 30 years, is a programme designed to alleviate poverty from the grassroots, use the medium to advise the beneficiaries on judicious use of funds in maintaining their micro businesses.
Earlier, the representative of the Deputy Governor Alh Inuwa Maiata wished the beneficiaries well, described the gesture as commendable and timely.
In his reaction, HRH Maj Gen (Dr) Muhammadu Sani Sami, Sami Gomo II who was represented by HRH, the Chief of Dabai chiefdom Alh Suleiman Mika’ilu Sami commended the efforts of the Federal and State Governments for various programmes to the people of Zuru through NDE. He tasked the beneficiaries on judicious use of funds for the purpose for which it was meant for. He equally pray and wish them well.
Disbursement of funds to the targeted 500 beneficiaries was the key important event.
Present at the event was Wife of the Director General, council members to Emir of Zuru, Alh Umar Opposer, security among others.
