Earlier today, the Kebbi State Deputy Governor Rtd Col Samaila Yombe Dabai, mni, fss, psc+, MBA who doubles as the State Chairman of the Steering Committee of Nigeria For Women Project (NFWP), had continued in an effort towards achieving the target objectives, in a meeting accommodated suggestions and ideas from committee members as the project has actively engaged in the implementation of the programme in Kebbi State.
Nigeria For Women Project (NFWP) is a World Bank assisted programme, where 18,000 women from selected three Local Government areas in Kebbi State totaling 54,000 women are expected to benefit from the project.
The meeting was aimed to coordinate and strategize ways through which the project will have impact on the targeted groups towards self reliance and dependence which will promote and boost the socio-economic development of the State and Nation at large.
Samaila Yombe Dabai /Chair of the committee, called on members as well as community particularly husbands to allow their wives and female children to participate in the exercise so as to benefit from the gesture and give their maximum cooperation for the actualisation of the target objectives.
Permanent Secretary Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development, Hajiya Aishatu Mai Kurata and the project coordinator in Kebbi State, Alh Yakubu Muhammad Yauri among other committee members were in attendance.
