NFWP: 18,000 WOMEN EMPOWERED IN KEBBI
This was disclosed when his excellency, rtd Col Samaila Yombe Dabai mni, fss, psc+ MBA (TAMBARIN ZURU), the Deputy Governor of Kebbi State who doubles as the Chairman Nigeria for Women Project Kebbi State (NFWP) paid a courtesy visit to Ngaski Local Government area on Tuesday.
The visit was aimed to assess ward facilitators that will be in charge of the beneficiaries’ registration process as Kebbi State is identified by the Federal Government as one of the pilot states and Ngaski Local Government was also identified as one of the Local Governments to pilot the initiative.
Earlier, the Deputy Governor of Kebbi State said, the inclusion of Ngaski Local Government was base on performance and merit as he commended the Local Government’s sense of responsibility as well as the performance of the ward representatives after carefully examining them.
The committee led by the Deputy Governor was received under the leadership of the Executive Chairman of Ngaski Local Government, Hon Abdullahi Buhari, his highness, the District Head of Maginga, Alhaji Abdulmalik Nuhu, APC Zonal Chairman Kebbi South, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar Alarama, Alhaji Usman Na-Allah as among others.
Hon Commissioner for information, Alhaji Mahmud Muhammad Warra, Hon Special Adviser Women Development, Hajiya Zahrau Wali, the Permanent Secretary Ministry for Women Development among others were part of the delegation.
