Kebbi bumper harvest, result of provision of fertilizers, inputs, to farmers – Info Commissioner
Kebbi State Information Commissioner, Alhaji Mamuda Muhammadu Warra, says the current bumper harvests recorded by farmers were part of the direct results of the provison of adequate ferilizers, pesticides, herbicides and implements to them by the Kebbi State Government.

Warra, who was elated with the happy development in the state, was commenting shortly after inspecting some rice farms in Ngaski and Yauri local governments of the state.
According to the Information Commissioner,” the rice being harvested was that produced during the pre-wetting season.
” The farmers were given adequate inputs and implements and they lacked nothing, hence , greatly improved their yields .”
Warra further noted that, rice production in Kebbi state was now an all-year round activity, while rice farmers cut across the social strata of the state.
The Information Commissioner also averred that, the farmers were fully committed to ensuring the success of the state government’s policy on food security and jobs creation.
Warra added: ” Between ten to fifteen articulated vehicles of paddy rice were now being daily transportated out of Ngaski local government alone, to the various companies.”

He lauded President Muhammadu Buhari for conceiving the Presidential Initiative on Ferilizers, saying that, Nigerian farmers were getting adequate fertilizers under it.
Warra further extolled the giant strides of Kebbi State Governor, Senator Abubakar Atiku Bagudu, noting that, agriculture, especially rice production had been revolutionized in the state.
