Nigeria Association of Small Scale Industrialists NASSI Kebbi State Chapter is to collaborate with Innovate Kebbi Initiative to promote Innovative Enterprises in Kebbi State.
This development formed part of discussions at the meeting of the 2 Groups held in Birnin Kebbi recently.
The meeting observed that several young and promising Entrepreneurs are doing a lot in innovative fabrications and technology adoption but without getting the required attention from potential Investors for their products to get to fruition.
In the light of this, NASSI represented by it’s Vice Chairman Abubaka Bagudu Dallatun Kalgo pledged to design promotional strategy to support young Entrepreneurs to explore their potentials to the fullest.
With the current Global economic crisis arising from the Covid 19 Pandemic: the need for innovative solutions could not be overemphasized therefore we must join hands to utilise vast opportunities in our midst to grow our economy for sustainable development.
On his part, Coordinator of Innovate Kebbi Initiative Yahaya Dan Illela said the forum has come up with workable plans towards encouraging youth engagement in skills aquisition and entreprenurrship activities as panacea for unemployment, destitution, streets begging and drugs abuse. “In fact we want take sizable number of youth off the streets thought innovative Enterprises in Agriculture, environment, tourism and ICT among others.
The meeting also played host to an indigenous Machines Fabricator Mal Bihari Danwarai who is engaged in fabrications of various Agricultural and Service Machines in the State.
This development could be an added impetus needed to compliment the diversification drive of the Kebbi State Government under the leadership of Senator Abubakar Atiku Bagudu, noting that more needs to be done to support Innovative ideas in the State.
