The All Progressives Congress (APC) in the North West partnering with the National Directorate of Employment (NDE) has disbursed over 2MILLION as soft loans to 210 youths in Kebbi State.
Addressing the unemployed youths while at the disbursement ceremony at the weekend in Birnin Kebbi, Alhaji Abdullahi Danjuma Machika, the State NDE Coordinator, said “the loans were disbursed under the Micro Enterprises Enhancement Scheme (MEES) programme.”
The programme, he said, would be executed in all the 21 local councils in Kebbi state.
Apparently appreciating the APC in the North West, he said
“The youth leader facilitated the selection of the 10 beneficiaries per local government across the 21 local government areas. The 210 beneficiaries were given N10,000.00 each to start or improve their businesses,”.
In his remarks, APC Youth Leader North-West Zone, Alhaji Sadiq Fakai thanked the NDE Director-General, Dr. Nasiru Mohammed Ladan Argungu for the support and disbursing the loan.
He further called on beneficiaries to make proper use of the loan to improve their welfare during this COVID-19 pandemic.
Beneficiaries commended the NDE and APC youth leader for assisting them with the loan promising to pay back in due course.
