The Kebbi State Task Force Committee on Covid-19 on Saturday handed over food items donated by Ecobank and KAEDCO to disabled groups in Zuru Emirate.

The food items are part of the cooperate social responsibility of the donors in collaboration with the state government to cushion the effect of covid 19 pandemic on special groups in the state.

The committee was chaired by Alh Tanko Musa Magaji mni and Alh Hamisu Garba Zuru permanent secretary, ministry of information and culture, Alh Suffiyanu Garba Bena Permanent secretary special services and representative of commissioner of police, CSP Abdullahi Rano as members.

The food items which include Rice, Semolina, Spaghetti, indomie noodles and g/nut oil was distributed to Zuru, Fakai, Sakaba and Danko/Wasagu local governments.

While presenting the food items on behalf of Kebbi State Government to Hon Kabiru Rafi, the host chairman of Zuru local government area, Alh Tanko Musa Magaji said, the gesture was aimed to cushion the effect of covid19 pandemic to the disabled groups by Ecobank and KAEDCO in collaboration with kebbi state government.

Directors PHC of Sakaba, Danko/Wasagu and Fakai local governments received the items on behalf of local government chairmen.

In a vote of thanks, Hon Mohammed Kabiru Rafi, chairman Zuru local government extend sincere appreciations to the government of kebbi state and describe the gesture was to ease the the of covid19 to special categories of people who were grouped into four (4).

While expressing appreciation, one of the group’s leader known as SARKI, Mal Gele also extend appreciation to governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu of kebbi state for always being there for special groups at regular intervals.
