COVID-19: SA NYSC’s Message to Corps Members and Students in Kebbi State
In line with the statement from the Director-General, Brigadier General Shuaibu Ibrahim yesterday in Abuja, the Special Assistant to Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu on Students and National Youth Service Corps, Alh. Murtala Musa Habib has reiterated that the National Youth Service Corps has postponed group bio-metric clearance and Community Development Service meetings in order to curtail the spread of Corona virus among its Corps Members.
Murtala stated this in his office today in Birnin Kebbi while fielding questions from KebbiDailyNews. Quoting from the DG’s remark, “the postponement is an adequate precautionary steps towards ensuring that all Corps Members are safe and equally put in place measures whereby Corps Members would do their monthly clearance seamlessly at their Local Government Offices without forming clusters.”
“Also, the Kebbi State Government has directed the immediate closure of all public and private schools in the state” he added.
According to the SA, all students and Corps Members in the State should follow periodic briefing from the Ministry of Health and Nigeria Centre for Disease Control including directives from NYSC Management.
