Kamba, Nigeria has lost an Icon – Gov Bagudu
Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu this Monday paid a condolence visit to the family of late retired Air Commodore Abubakar Salihu at Malali Kaduna who passed away last Thursday of an illness.
Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu prayed Allah to grant him Aljanna Firdausi and the family fortitude to bear the loss.
He described the demise of the retired Air Force General as great loss not only to Kebbi state but also to Nigeria in view of his contribution to the unity of the country in his time as active military officer who participated in peace keeping operation and internal strife.
Late Air Commodore Abubakar Salihu hails from Kamba, Dandi Local Government Area of Kebbi State and served as Military Governor of defunct Gongola State.
Abubakar Salihu died at the age of 70 leaving behind one wife and six children and relations.
Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu was accompanied on the condoelce visit by the Chief of Staff Government House, Alhaji Sulaiman Muhammad Argungu Jarman Kabi and Alhaji Usman Balkore.
They were received on behalf of the family by former Secretary to the State Government of Kebbi State Alhaji Garba Rabi’u Kamba and Chairman of Dandi Local Government Hon. Garba Salihu Dilah.
