Bagudu approves appointments of Traditional Leaders, not Commissioners – Official
Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu of Kebbi state has approved the appointment of a new Chief of Dabai Chiefdom in Zuru Emirate and a new District Head of Bayawa (Muzan Bayawa) in Argungu Emirate.
An official letter signed by the Permanent Secretary, Ministry for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Muhammad Sani Umar to His Royal Highness, the Emir of Zuru Alhaji Muhammadu Sani Sami Gomo II indicated that the Governor approved the appointment of Alhaji Suleiman Mika’ilu Sami as the new Chief of Dabai Chiefdom.
The letter conveyed the congratulations of Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu to the new Chief of Dabai Chiefdom and Zuru Emirate Council.
A copy of the letter has also been sent to the Chairman Zuru Local Government.
Likewise, similar official letter signed by the Permanent Secretary Muhammad Sani Umar to His Royal Highness, the Emir of Argungu Alhaji Sama’ila Muhammadu Mera, announced the appointment of Alhaji Murtala Muhammad Kaka as the new District Head of Bayawa (Muzan Bayawa) as approved by Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu.
The letter extended the congratulations of Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu to the new District Head of Bayawa (Muzan Bayawa) and Argungu Emirate Council.
The letter has also been despatched to the Chairman of Argungu Local Government for notification.
The Permanent Secretary, on behalf of the Ministry for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, congratulated the new Chief of Dabai Chiefdom and the new District Head of Bayawa on their appointment with high esteemed regards.
The new Chief of Dabai Chiefdom Alhaji Suleiman Mika’ilu is from Sami Gomo ruling house, until his appointment was lecturer and Head of Department, College of Agriculture Zuru.
He obtained his Bachelors of Science Degree in Zoology from Usman Danfodio University Sokoto and Masters Degree in Business Administration from the same institution as well as Masters of Science Degree in Biotechnology from University of Greenwich Chatham Maritime, United Kingdom.
The new Muzan Bayawa Alhaji Murtala obtained his Degree in Biology and Masters in Botany from Usman Danfodio University Sokoto and until his appointment was the Director Planning, Ministry for Environment Kebbi State and the younger brother to late Muzan Bayawa.
