Excerpt from MEDICAID CANCER FOUNDATION AT 12th AORTIC 2019 reads:
Our team, led by the Founder/CEO Dr. Zainab Shinkafi Bagudu has attended the 2019 African Organization for Research and Training in Cancer @aortic_africa conference held in Maputo, Mozambique. It was productive outing as we joined cancer care leaders and advocates from all around the world to learn, interact and network. Members of the team are: Dr Aisha Omoragbon, Technical Adviser to MCF, Dr Aminu Aliyu, Technical Program Coordinator, Dr Cornelius Ohonsi, Program Manager, and Dr. Ramatu Hassan, Technical Consultant (former National Cancer Coordinator, FMOH)
Riding on the conference theme “Cancer in Africa: Innovation, Strategies, Implementation”., We had the opportunity to foster both old and new strategic partnerships with major actors such as Electra, Roche, BGVH, West African College of Surgeons and Allied for Cancer, etc.
The Union for International Cancer Control (UICC) had a big presence in #AORTIC2019. In a bid to move the needle in cancer care in Africa, a collaboration plan between the UICC and AORTIC was launched: Cancer Control in Africa, Paving the way for Universal Health Coverage.
