Kebbi State is to take advantage of its second position in the Country to explore more of its abundant livestock resources for optimal economic growth and development of the State
Pursuant to this, the sum of two Billion Naira (N2 Billion) has been secured for injection into the livestock value chain in the State.
Senator Abubakar Atiku Bagudu, Governor of Kebbi State made this known today while addressing members of the press as part of activities marking the 59th Independence Anniversary of Nigeria.
The Governor noted that Kebbi being second only to Yobe State in livestock Resources in the Country stands to draw maximum benefits as well could engage teeming number of its populace in economic diversification drive.
He further disclosed that the State Government has made tremendous progress in providing schools and water points for Ruga Settlements housing Fulani Cattle Breeders and their families who have been living in such enclaves for times immemorial.
He congratulated Nigerians and President Muhammadu Buhari for recording meaningful progress within the 59 years of the Country’s existence urging all and sundry to rally round the Government for sustainable development in the Country.
