District Heads of Koko, Giro and Danwarai in Gwandu Emirate Approved
Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu has approved the appointment of new District Heads of Koko, Giro and Danwarai in Gwandu Emirate, following the demise of their predecessors.
Governor Abubakar says they are Alhaji Muhammad Bello Koko new District Head of Koko, Koko/Besse Local Government who until his appointment was the District head of Lani.
The new District head is a professional head teacher who taught in various schools in the state.
Also approved the new district head of Giro, Suru Local Government, Alhaji Sa’idu Abdullahi Giro is a seasoned retired administrator in the state civil service.
Similarly, the governor has approved the appointment of Alhaji Abubakar Abubakar as the new District Head of Dan-Warai in Aliero Local Government.
The formal turbaning ceremony would be performed by the Emir of Gwandu and Chairman Kebbi State Council of Chiefs, Alhaji Muhammad Ilyasu Bashar at a date to be announced later.
The Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, which made the announcement indicated that, Bashar Muhammad Bawa has been appointed as MUTAN YAURI Councilor and Kingmaker, Yauri Emirate Council.
Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu conveyed his goodwill through the Permanent Secretary Ministry for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Alhaji Sani Umar Yeldu, urging the three new district heads to be honest, dedicated and committed to promoting peace and tranquility as well as ensuring harmony and unity among their people.
