Governance: Nigerian Youths must take advantage of their population – Founder, NYCM
With the view of establishing a strong Youth Political Organization in Nigeria, creating awareness on youth involvement in governance and facilitating human capacity development, the Nigeria Youth Creative Movement [NYCM], a fast rising youth group in Nigeria held its inaugural ceremony in Kaduna last week.

Chairman of the organization, Habeeb Jega, while addressing participants in the event said it was evidential that the teeming Nigerian Youths have been relegated to the background while recycling of leaders hold sway.
According to him: “The youth must resolve to take advantage of being 74% of Nigeria’s population.” Adding that youth involvement in governance would reduce insecurity in the country.

Speaking to newsmen at the event, the Founder of the BESO organization, Alh. Aliyu Wazirin Gusau, a youth political advocate said the organization will seek to provide a structure for youths to fly their political agenda.
Also speaking, the founder of NYCM, Haruna Tijjani, commended the youth for engaging meaningful activities to develop Nigeria, urging them to put more effort in moving the country forward.
Highlights of the event include: talks from youth activists, lectures, dance and display of cultural heritage by Kaduna youths.

Participants were drawn from all states of the North West including Sokoto, Katsina, Kebbi, Abuja, Jigawa, Zamfara and Kano with their respective State Coordinators.
“The next event is scheduled for Kano and promises to be enlightening and remarkable” the president said.

NYCM is open for membership. Both male and female youth can contact Mr. Haruna on +234 813 687 7175 for registration against the next event.
