Preparatory to the July 1st take over of Gwandu Feeder ; Halisa Engineering Nig Ltd took sensitization campaign to Malisa and Gwandu Districts of Gwandu Local Government Area with a view to educating them on the basic rudiments of the franchise arrangements.
Speaking at the Palace of Sarkin Kudun Masama, Chairman of Halisa Board of Directors, Alh Yusuf Haruna Rashhed Sardaunan Gwandu urged them to embrace the new arrangement that seeks to enhance efficient service delivery and stable power supply in the area.
He charged them to monitor and report bad eggs who formed the habit of tempering with electrical installations as well as ensure judicious usage of appliances in their domestic activities.
Alh Yusuf Haruna frowns at negligence, nonchalant attitudes of parents and the general community to matters of security, safeguarding public utilities and moral upbringing of children which he said should be faced squarely and collectively.
Responding, The Sarkin Kudun Masama Alh Abubakar Aliyu Gwandu commended the Halisa Team for the foresight: promising to mobilise his subject to key into the franchise agenda for sustainable economic growth in the District.
He admonishes parents to watch over their wards and mould their characters to become responsible citizens.
Similar engagement took place at the Palace of Sarkin Gabas in Gwandu town where issues raised were addressed appropriately.
The sensitization drive is aimed at mobilising electricity consumers to key into the new franchise arrangements introduced as pilot trial by Kaduna Electricity Distribution Company to inject efficiency and positive results in the system.
With this development, Halisa Engineering Nig Ltd becomes the first Company to be accredited for the Franchise in the Country as formal signing ceremony is expected to take place this week in Birnin Kebbi, Kebbi State.
