Disturbed by docility of Organised Private Sector in promoting viable economic ventures in the State; Kebbi Investment Forum is making plans to reinvigorate and reawaken business operators and captains of industry to explore the abundant human and natural potentials of the state for greater economic benefits.
Speaking at the meeting of Committees Chairmen yesterday in Birnin Kebbi, Chairman of the Forum Engr M U Zauro, Dikkon Gwandu and District Head of Zauro stated that despite huge investment profile and an array of abundant endowments; it is nostalgic that the State is still lagging behind in many economic parameters.
Engr M U Zauro commended all the Committees for their active interests in promoting investments in the State.
Committee in charge of Agriculture headed by DCG Salisu Namagare Argungu made its presentation with various recommendations on ways of consolidating the vast agricultural achievements recorded under the present administration in the State.
Alh Muhammad Bulama who Chaired the Solid Minerals Committee proffered solutions to the lingering problems associated with mining activities with a view to making positive impact to the State and host communities.
Alh Ibrahim Ladan Jega Chairman of Commerce Committee took his turn to make presentation that also bordered on ways of improving commercial activities for optimal results.
The Small and Medium Industries Committee headed by Hon Halima Hassan Tukur made sterling recommendations on the need to utilise several windows of opportunities to engage small and cottage enterprises in productive ventures capable of providing employment to thousands of youth across the State.
The SME presentation was made by Abubakar Bagudu Kalgo secretary of the Committee.
In attendance were Professor DM Sahabi Chairman Executive Committee of Kebbi Development Forum, Alh Usman Abubakar Gwandu Director General of KDF, Hajiya Aishatu Umar Gwandu mni Director of Commerce, and Muhammad Gazali a financial management Consultant.
