JOINT TECHNICAL COMMITTEE DISCUSSES LASTING SOLUTIONS ON POWER STABILITY IN KEBBI.

Consequent to the recent stakeholders meeting and public hearing by the Kebbi State House of Assembly on lingering power problems in Kebbi State; a joint Technical Committee consisting of Officials of KAEDCO, State Government and Halisa Engineering Ltd today met and brainstormed on modalities and suggestions proffered for ensuring stability of power across the 21 local Government Areas of the State.

The meeting endorsed the idea of collaborating with Local Government Councils Chairmen, Districts, Village and Ward Heads to ensure prompt payments of consumption bills as well as preach against electricity misuse and wastages as measures necessary for the actualisation of it’s stability in the State.

Other measures to be adopted include: hosting of stakeholders meetings at all the 21 Local Government Areas of the State to ensure involvement of all segments of the Communities in the power stability drive as a complement to the huge investment madecby the Kebbi State Government in providing all the needed equipment and installations necessary for it’s enhancement across the State.

The meeting was attended by Hon Commissioner Ministry of Water Resources Alh Nura Usman Kangiwa, Special Adviser of Political, Energy and Chieftaincy Matters Alh Yusuf Haruna Rasheed, State BDRO of KAEDCO Mr Dogara Saidu and Aldurrasheed Kane MD Halisa Engineering among others.

The Committee is billed to meet with the 21 Local Government Councils Chairmen to brief them on developments and strategies designed with a view to synergy building towards ensuring stability of power in line with the desire of the Executive Governor, Senator Abubakar Atiku Bagudu.
